The Law of Attraction is a powerful universal law that basically states like attracts like. In other words, if you focus on something positive or negative, you can attract more of it into your life.
As many of us know from our own life experiences, this sounds simple and easy, but doesn't always seem to work... in this article we will teach you everything you need to begin your journey with the law of attraction as well as things to be on the look out for. With a bit of practice, you'll be able to manifest your desires and create the life you've always wanted.
History of the Law of Attraction
Despite being around for centuries, the law of attraction is constantly evolving thanks to its growing popularity. Ancient wisdom teachings are said to have inspired the law of attraction, but book called The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles popularized the concept in the early 1900s. The book explains how to harness the power of your thoughts to attract wealth and success.
Law of attraction gained even more popularity in the mid-1900s when it was discussed by influential figures like Napoleon Hill and Earl Nightingale from books like Think And Grow Rich or The Essence of Success. However it didn't become what it is today until 2006 after The Secret was published.
The Secret is a best-selling book by Rhonda Byrne that focuses on using belief and gratitude to invoke the law of attraction to manifest things. In today's world, the law of attraction is a self-help tool that is widely used with countless success stories. So how do we use the law of attraction?
How To Use The Law of Attraction
Some people have been lead to believe in an illusion that the law of attraction only works sometimes or if you do certain things. This is not the truth! The law of attraction is always working, most of us are just using it unconsciously. In order to learn how to use the law of attraction, we have to learn how to become aware of it in our own life.
Where focus goes, energy flows. And where energy flows, whatever you're focusing on grows. In other words, your life is controlled by what you focus on. That's why you need to focus on where you want to go, not on what you fear.
This can be done in multiple ways, but the easiest way to do it is to consciously decide on what it is you want to manifest. Funny enough most people know what they don't want in their life and tend to focus on preventing that from happening instead of what it is they really want.
So we've noticed that the most effective way to figure out what we don't want is to first of all write down everything we don't want to happen. From there use what you wrote to write out what it is that you do want.
Once you have a clear understanding of what you want, you can uncover any negative thinking or habits that might be holding you back from manifesting better health or financial success or whatever you want to manifest.
Secret To Master Law of Attraction
Now here is where the juicy part begins, this is what not many know or even talk about, this is the Secret To Manifest if you will. We all know that our thoughts are powerful, but why? It's because our thoughts emit an energetic frequency! Now if the thought sends the signal out, how do we attract what it is we want? The answer is by drawing the experience back to us with our feelings!
Well some may ask that isn't the thought and the feeling a representation of our personality? Yes it is, in fact our personalty creates our personal reality! Let's share a story about this process to go over some of the pitfalls that may occur along the way.
Potential Pitfalls Of The Law Of Attraction
Once there was a woman who was very negative. She always saw the worst in people and situations. Resentful and angry, she always regarded others negatively. As a result, she attracted even more negativity into her life. She was constantly surrounded by angry and resentful people. As days passed she thought there was nothing she could do to make the world better.
It wasn't until one day, she decided to change her attitude. This was when she discovered that her Personality creates her Personal Reality! It was then that she began to focus on finding the good in herself and as she focused on it and found it within her, she saw it in other people and situations.
Over time she faced many of her self-imposed limitations questioning her own beliefs, at first this caused massive frustration and discomfort. This was until she realized that she has been addicted to her old personality, and in order to change she needs to become addicted to her desired personality. When challenges arrived, they no longer affected her because she was done playing victim.
She began to master her state of being causing her to attract more positive circumstances and people into her life. All the people in her life were confused and no longer recognized her. Some people even told her she is going crazy, others were asking what pills was she on, regardless of what others said she knew who she was so clearly that she saw a part of her old self in them and fell in love with them because she knew this was a test to see if she would go back...
This is possible for us all... This process of becoming aware of our personality and changing it is not an easy one, but definitely worth it. Manifesting With The Subconscious Mind
Our subconscious mind is like a computer that is programmed to respond based on the records of our past experiences. If we did something that worked 10 years ago, our subconscious mind will save it to use again in the future. Most of these saved programs of beliefs and behaviors were created to keep us safe from getting hurt mentally, emotionally, or physically.
You can shift your life for the better if you learn to tap into the subconscious mind's power to create new habits, beliefs, and behaviors. Our subconscious mind is more likely to focus on improving other people and things around in the world around us. This is because most of us in beta brainwaves are connected to the ego that resides in our subconscious mind which doesn't like to be wrong. It's easier to blame others than to go through a stretched out period of change, and so we unconsciously keep blaming others, give our power away. The ones who go on to make a difference in their life, are the ones who are willing to make a difference in themselves. Tapping Into The Subconscious Mind
As a result, if we want more money in our life, we need to change something about ourselves. If we want more love in our lives, then we must learn to be more loving. Through this whole process of change, we come to realize that what we really desire from life is already within us, we just need to learn how to tap into it from within.
Getting in touch with our true desires can be an interesting journey. It may be that this journey helps us become aware of negative thoughts or behaviors that have been holding us back this whole time. After that, we have the choice to either blame everything outside of us for this or take responsibility for everything that happens to us.
It won't solve the past issues, but it will help create a future that isn't based on the familiar past. As we stated earlier, most of our decisions are influenced by our bodies as the subconscious mind trying to keep us safe in any way it can.
The following exercises will help us gain access to our subconscious mind so we can manifest success in any way we define.
Gratitude And Positive Emotions
If where we focus determines where our energy goes, gratitude is a powerful emotion to focus on to create profound effects on our lives. When we feel grateful for anything whether it's something from our past or future, we open up to receiving more things to feel grateful for.
There are many other positive emotions and feelings we can use to create the life we want such as love, joy, happiness, or even abundance. For most people it's often easier to feel the emotion of gratitude, just focus on the people and things you are grateful for or could be grateful for.
Once you feel grateful for something that has already happened, see if you can maintain that feeling of gratitude while visualizing what it is that you want.
Using Visualization And Meditation
When it comes to manifesting our desires, visualization is a powerful tool. By picturing what we want in our minds, we can more easily reprogram the subconscious mind into believing that we already have it. Remember that the thought sends the signal out, and the feeling draws it back to you.
Let's look at an example. If we want to attract more money, before we even visualize money in our life, focus on feeling grateful. When you feel grateful for everything that is, then start to focus on money and notice how it makes you feel. If you feel like you're closing up or afraid, focus again on gratitude and then come back to the visualization.
Do this as many times as it takes until you've rewired your brain to feel empowered emotions from this image rather than disempowering feelings of fear or lack. If you can take this state of gratitude and feel it even when you are done with this exercise, that is when you know you've hit the sweet spot!
If you get up from the exercise and go back to your old self, find time again to connect to your new personal reality by changing your personality. Visualization can also be used to mentally rehearsal how you will show up in a certain situation. Just close your eyes and rehearse everything that might happen and how you will show up. The more we visualize something, the more our subconscious mind begins to believe it's already happening.
Another way to reprogram the subconscious mind to manifest things using the law of attraction is is through hypnosis.
How Hypnosis Works
Hypnosis works because by helping us get into alpha and theta brainwaves. When we are in a state of hypnosis we turn off our survival mind also shutting down our ego, entering into a deep state of relaxation in which our subconscious mind become highly receptive to change.

While there's nothing wrong with positive thinking, studies have shown that affirmations don't actually work. In fact, they can even backfire and make you feel more insecure about yourself. Similar to what we mentioned about visualization above, affirmations are only as effective as the emotional state you say them in. If done properly they can be a powerful tool to create massive change in your life!
